ABOUT CLARA MAGDALENA BRÜCKMANN

Clara Magdalena Brückmann was born in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany in 1998. After completing high school in Stuttgart, she has lived and worked in several cities, including Berlin.

Since 2021, she is studying Fine Arts at the Dresden University of Fine Arts. In 2022, Clara Brückmann joined the class of Christian Macketanz.

Her artwork revolves around playing with contrasts and experimenting with surfaces and materials. Her photographs and paintings illustrate a fusion of opposing elements through the use of colors, textures, and combinations of different materials. 

Especially in her photographs, Clara Brückmann focuses on capturing sharp edges and visual contrasts, based on diverse impression from environmental and architectural surroundings particularly. Her fable for details enables her to highlight the interplay of light and shadow, resulting in striking compositions. 

Through this interplay, Clara Brückmann aims to create captivating tension that catches the audience's attention and provokes contemplation. Her artistic approach allows her to explore new dimensions and push the boundaries of conventional art.
